In line with our commitment to enhance bilateral trade relations, the Council has accepted the invitation of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to join the 2nd CAEXPO. This year, CAEXPO will focus on ASEAN trade ad tourism promotion as well as investment promotion. An integral part of the Council's participation is at CAEXPO's Buisness and Investment Summit to becomplemented by optimized business to business matching services for the Council members that are looking for joint venture arrangements with their Chines counterparts and vice versa.

Business Opportunities Forum, planned for the first quarter of 2006

The forum will focus on foreign direct investments on sectors of tourism, mining, infrastructure and property development. This will be a venue where “experts on China ”, distinguished government officials and business from China and the Philippines will comprise the roster of resource speakers. Side meetings shall be scheduled as a result of pre-matching activities. Another component of the forum is an exhibition of Filipino and Chinese enterprises in the sectors of focus.
