Philippine-China Business Council Inc.


A non-profit, non partisan trade, investment advocacy private organization engaged in the promotion of business relations between the two countries.

Rationale


To sustain the strong spirit of kinship enjoyed by both countries as evidenced by trade relations during the 7th century.

To foster economic growth & development between the Philippines and the Peoples Republic of China.

Proponents


The primary proponents of the Council are business stake holders representing both Countries who have existing business interest in either or both nations.

The field of business interest extends from agriculture, fishery, infrastructure, transportation, mining, tourism education, as well as consumer goods to include electronics & semi-conductors, food, beverage clothing, beauty products, furnishings and provision of services.

Governance


The Council is governed by a Board of Directors, representing distinguished businessmen engaged in various independent industry groups. The Current Chairman is Ambassador Jose E.B. Antonio, Special Envoy to China.

The Board elected the officers during its first Board of Director's meeting last 26 July 2005.

Membership


The Council comprises of two membership categories namely; regular & affiliate members. Membership seconds the business enterprise the person is representing. Regular members are entitled to vote the governing Board of Directors.
